This course will teach participants the basics of Web development. They will learn of the differences between back-end and front-end development, and become aware of the different technologies of the Web solution stack. The course will offer an introduction to HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript. Participants will become familiar with the Web console of Firefox and learn to debug/modify a Web page; they will also develop their own code, incrementally, starting with a static page and ending with a simple game in Javascript which sends high-scores to the back-end for storage in a database.
